My mother in law started this business, and I decided to give it a shot: what a great idea, $4 for a bracelet or necklace and to put a smile on a stranger's face! So I got my dogtag and gave it to a random stranger I saw at the mall. It may not have made much of a deal to that man, but a small and a "well thank you!" was well worth it for me! I hope that random necklace from a random stranger made that random day just a little better for you, sir!

Be stronger than the storm. Those words have been an echo in my mind ever since my mom handed me my necklace. Just a few days before, I was in the storm. I remember walking in a confused daze down the long white hallway pulling a suitcase full of clothes and heading to my 12 year old daughter's hospital room. I remember thinking what is going on? I don't belong here. This isn't right. We were just home and my daughter was living a normal preteen girl's life. Now here we were learning that my daughter had a pretty serious form of Crohns Disease and that she would need surgery and would have symptoms the rest of her life. The storm was like a wave crashing down on my family, and we were drowning in emotions. Now that we are home from the hospital and back to almost normal, I wear my necklace to remind me that we were stronger than the storm, and that my family will become stronger than the next storm that comes.
